What is DRIP?

DRIP is an interactive Psychedelic Thriller web fiction serial written and produced by ROTZYK. The dark, cerebral science fiction story is told using a variety of media, including text, images, illustrations, web apps, animations, GIFs, videos, films, games, puzzles, codes, anagrams, and more.

Mixed Media Narrative

DRIP is a mixed media narrative project; the story is told using a combination of words (through the official website), pictures/GIFs (usually included in new posts), videos (TBD), hidden (in-text) hyperlinks, articles, external websites, emails, music playlists, puzzles, hidden messages, real-world (IRL) challenges, interactive games, and more. Augmented Reality Game (ARG) might better encompass the full scope and depth of the narrative. While we are still early in the story, readers are already finding clues to additional resources and hidden games. As DRIP continues, the rabbit hole will only get deeper.

The story can be experienced through a variety of mediums across the internet: Images, videos, random links, articles, blog posts, emails, and music playlists are a few of the different mediums available currently.

Rotzyk has not disclosed when DRIP will end; there is currently no comprehensive listing of all extant elements of the story. New leads pop up daily on different sites as the story grows. Readers and fans are encouraged to compile their own lists and share them with the community as the story progresses.

How to read DRIP:

Think of DRIP like a narrative scavenger hunt.

  • As you read each chapter (posted Monday, Wednesday, & Friday), click any links in the text (leads) to investigate a new dimension of the narrative.
    • Some links might lead to an image or video that tells a different part of the story; others may take you down a darker rabbit hole.
    • Links are tested and safe for browsing.
  • Leave comments to pose your theories or discuss leads with others.
  • Share leads and links to the story to encourage others to read.
  • Content is not always released chronologically. You may need to go back and re-read parts of the narrative to find the proper sequence of events.
  • Content is not permanent. The author has made it clear that the canon may change as time goes on.
    • We’ve already seen minor changes to some of the earliest posts. So far these have been error corrections or miscellaneous details.
      • The fact that older posts are being edited would lead us (the moderators) to believe the author might reserve the right to edit past details of the story in the future. This is merely conjecture.
